Frequently asked questions
Is Portmaster free?
Yes, the core firewall is free. Some extra services, such as SPN, which routes traffic through Safing's own network, are paid.
Does it replace Windows Firewall?
Portmaster shows in much more detail where programs connect and makes blocking easier. It can work alongside Windows' own firewall.
Will it break my internet connection?
The default settings work for most people. Strict rules can cut off some programs; in that case, simply allow that program.
